The Classic was scheduled to have run September 16-19, 2021. Ticketholders will be refunded for their advance purchase tickets. August 30, 2021 at 6:39 PM Truckee Fire update on the Donner Pass fire: Crews from Cal Fire, USFS, Truckee Fire, Olympic Valley Fire are on scene. On arrival they found a well involved structure fire that has spread to the wildland. A helicopter and Air tanker quickly arrived on scene and started dropping retardant and water to knock down the fire. The fire was contained to the structure and a small wildland spot. Crews will be on scene for hours mopping up.

The humans are attempting to locate the cows’ owner, while the three cows and a calf seem to enjoy their stroll. Please reduce your speed in the area.

August 27, 2021 at 6:05 PM . In a late Friday afternoon email to customers, PG&E provided an explanation for the increased power outages occurring in the foothills these past few weeks. A new “feature” called ‘fast trip’ is designed to “quickly and automatically turn off power if an object strikes a line or there is an issue with the equipment.” The shutoff affects an entire circuit, resulting in several hundred or more customers losing power for hours. Animal Control has been notified. Also, the cow is now reportedly charging people. Another caller has reclassified the cow as a bull.

Grass Valley Police Detectives worked with the Grass Valley Fire Marshall to determine the cause of the fire. They determined that the fire was most likely an act of arson.
