Nudity and sexual activity

Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials has some sexual activity. For example, one scene shows a group of young people dancing. A teenage girl wraps her arms around the neck of the boy she is dancing with and kisses him passionately on the mouth.

Rating: PG-13, for extended sequences of violence and action, some thematic elements, substance abuse and language. It's the second movie in the Maze Runner series and pretty standard post-apocalyptic, YA-novel fare, so in theory you know what you're getting into here.

Scorch Trials does not present any new themes or much character development but it does cement the concepts of truth and freedom that The Maze Runner introduced. Content collapsed. Yes, there are the standard story beats to hit, but Wes Ball doesn't seem interested in simply hitting them and moving on.

So I finished the Scorch Trials book the other day and I keep thinking about this one few chapters. When Brenda kissed Thomas and he backed off she got later (when they got sober again) angry at him and literally guilt tripped him? Like, I love Brenda, really, but that was so out of character for me at that moment.

Maze Runner: The Death Cure contains intense sequences of violence, including close-ups of deaths and some psychological torture. There are some gruesome images. For example: The movie's opening scene features a dramatic raid on a prison train.

The books center on Thomas, a 16-year-old boy with no memory of life before the Maze, the friends he makes in the Glade, and their struggles to survive a series of deadly tests and overthrow the corporation running them. Who's in it?

This movie is bordering on a horror movie with grotesque, detailed zombies and frightening scenes that no younger viewer should see. Dark & dreary with graphic violence.

The Kill Order is the fourth book released in the series, on August 14, 2012. It is the first novel in narrative order, set prior to the events of The Fever Code and 13 years before the events in The Maze Runner. It is followed in narrative order by The Fever Code.

Is Newt alive in Maze Runner 4? ›

After returning to Denver, Thomas sees that Newt has succumbed to the Flare. Thomas answers Newt's pleas by shooting him in the head as an act of mercy. The group then discovers that Teresa and the other Immunes have been captured.

It just needed to happen, in her mind. No biggie. In book 2, she couldn't stand the thought of Thomas feeling betrayed without warning, so she tries really hard to warn him. And then basically kills their friendship to save his life.

Summary. Disney confirms Maze Runner 4 is in development, expanding the successful YA franchise with potential new storylines. Possible storylines for Maze Runner 4 include prequels or sequels, offering different directions and connections to the original trilogy.

They are driving through a tunnel which if filled with Cranks on the way to city and the car is attacked. Newt gets scratched by one of the Cranks on his right forearm, consequently infecting him with the virus.

Characters sometimes die in battle and there can be a little bit of blood. Sexual content includes implied and partial nudity. Characters are seen in the shower, but steam covers their private areas.

The publisher says this series is for ages 12 and up, but it's even darker and more violent than other popular dystopian reads geared toward 14 and up.

So there is some harsh words and violence, but the swearing and sex is slim to none. James Dashner seems to be one of the only YA authors so far to leave out romantic sexual content. I would recommend this book to young teens even, because the content is mild.
